Unfolding the Intricacies of Monster, the Anime: a must watch psychology thriller!

'The Nameless Monster' by Franz Bonaparte

I had a hard time watching this one (not because of the 74 episodes) but also acknowledging the extent of creativity a human is capable of.
Each character is so well written, the dialogues so well thought out that it perfectly embodies catharsis while taking a dip in the ideas of morality, justice and the brainstorming philosophy of each one.
The brilliant juxtaposition of human nature through Kenzo Tenma and Johan Liebert depicts how we’re shaped by the experiences, behaviour and the environment around us.
A human life when reduced to a genetic product and ill-nurtured heir of the fascist regime, turns into a monster who sets out to erase everyone including himself, with hell right in his eyes, capable of unimaginable cruelty and deception!

Johan Liebert

What I absolutely love about the antagonist is how 'human' he seems. I mean he didn't have the immediately identifiable characteristics of villainy. My favourite kind of villains are those whom we can understand, not necessarily agree with. You're shit scared because you do realise how given the circumstances, you can become a monster too! I somewhat felt the pace could have been a little more fast and so is Johan's screentime (so much less).

Are all lives created equal? Yes or no? Is death the only thing that's equal for all? I was left dumbstruck with so many unsettling questions!
After all how does one prove the existence of a broken society without slipping through the cracks himself?
